Thanks for the reply. I will investigate PCLinuxOS, however I am waiting for the next Kubuntu right now. I agree that KDE4 is not ready, which is why I am waiting for 4.1 at least. I want to be able to run Amarok and KOffice natively, and not use KDE3 apps at all. Besides, the Kubuntu KDE3 has Compiz with it, which should be nice. I could never get Compiz to work in Debian, I do not like configuring in code that much.
Hey. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I haven't actually been on DeviantART in ages.
PCLinuxOS works great for me, but upgrading the kernel has had weird side effects on various computers and spell checking doesn't appear to work in OpenOffice. Other than that, it's brilliant. I've tried various LiveCDs on several computers and PCLinuxOS has had the best hardware support by far.
I'm actually typing this to you now from my KDE4 Kubuntu installation which was beta when I downloaded it. Certainly not ready, but I do love running bleeding edge.
As for .deb & APT, maybe you should try Linux Mint? I got a DVD with my Linux Format subscription and it seems fairly interesting.
